Though it ain't serious with just a slight fever, flu, runny nose, sore throat & slight cough, I decided to take a rest from work yesterday & drove to see my doc & got hold of some meds..

Also slept earlier than usual the night before..

August had been a really good month for me..

Very blessed in every area, especially, financially.. ^__^

Praying that September would be an even better month!

Managed to squeeze some time into my busy schedule to watch a few movies on DVD last month.. ^^

Watched this very heartwarming Korean comedy - Hello Ghost (헬로우 고스트)

& love it lots!

I've always wanted to watch this movie years ago when it was first released in Korea & am so happy I've finally watched it! ^_^

The film was the 9th highest grosser of Korean films in 2010.

The film was bought by American film production company 1492 Pictures in February 2011 and is scheduled to be remade by Chris Columbus.

Really awesome movie!

Highly recommended!

The story is about this guy name Sang-man (Cha Tae-hyeon) who starts seeing four annoying ghosts after a failed suicide attempt. Carrying out their individual wishes, he finds the pleasures of daily life and forgets about his loneliness and depression.

A very meaningful movie..

I actually cried at the end.. Kekeke.. which is so unlike me.. ^_^

This goes to show how good the movie was.. ^_^

And I'm very happy that Columbus is gonna remake it! ^_^

Also watched another movie which won multiple awards recently..

桃姐 A Simple Life

A Simple Life (Chinese: 桃姐; Mandarin Pinyin: Táo Jiě; Jyutping: Tou4 Ze2), also known as Sister Peach, is a 2011 Hong Kong drama film directed by Ann Hui and starring Andy Lau and Deanie Ip.

Inspired by a true story of the producer, Roger Lee, and his servant, the film tells about a heartwarming relationship between a young master of a big family, Roger (Lau) and the servant of the family who raised him, Sister Peach (Ip).

This movie & its actors & actresses actually won more than 30 over awards in total!!!

Lead actors Andy Lau & Deanie Yip received a standing ovation @ the Venice Film Festival!!!

Ip, in the titled role as Sister Peach, won the Best Actress Award in the 68th Venice International Film Festival.

A Simple Life is an official selection for the competition of 68th Venice International Film Festival, and it won 4 awards. Deanie Ip won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress by her role in this film. She is also the first Hong Kong woman to be the winner of the prize. In March, she has also become the first Hong Kong woman to win Asian Film Award for Best Actress. Except this, the director Ann Hui has become the first female to win the Lifetime Achievement Award. At the 31st Hong Kong Film Awards Ceremony, A Simple Life won 5 major prizes (film, director, screenplay, actor, actress), repeating the situation of Summer Snow in 1996, which was also directed by Ann Hui. Ann Hui has become the only director winning most Best Director Awards (4 times in total). Deanie Ip has also become the oldest Best Actress Award winner at the age of 64.

A Solo Piano Piece

For those of you who've not heard my previous YouTube videos, you may feel free to check them out on my YouTube Channel @graphito6

Ok, for those of you wondering how come this solo piano piece does not have a title..

Well, to be very honest, I have no idea what's the title of this piece itself! LOL! ROFL! LMAO!

Here's the story behind..

When I was younger & still taking piano lessons in my earlier grades..

I used to hear this garbage truck passing by while I was practising on my piano..

Every evening, this same garbage truck would be playing this piece which I've just played..

When I first heard this piece for the very first time, I liked it & decided to memorize the tune & play it on the piano..

It has a very simple tune which I believe you guys can agree, thus it wasn't difficult for me to memorize the tune & play it by ear..

Until to this very day, I still do not know the title of this piece, let alone ever seen the score..

Can somebody be so kind as to enlighten me the title of this piece?

& once again, pardon the extremely "raw" quality of this video as it was a one-time "live" recording..

So pardon me for its imperfection, yeah?
