The 4th Singapore Shorts Film Festival 2008

The 4th Singapore Shorts Film Festival 2008..

Here's an introduction taken from their website..

45 Armenian Street, Singapore, 179936.

It was a fun-filled weekend with film premieres, favourites, food, memorabilia, catching up with old friends, and making new ones!
The opening kicked off with a speech by one of our Directors, T Sasitharan, who started the Moving Images programme back in 1997; the premiere of "Girl in Red Sarong" by Jeremy Sing; and the hilarious "Zo Hee" (Make Movie) by Jacen Tan, a film specially commissioned by The Substation to celebrate this occasion.
Also as part of our celebrations were "Talking Movies", a talk show with Zhang Wenjie (National Museum), Ong Sor Fern (Straits Times) and Sun Koh (Filmmaker, Lucky7), a weekend flea market, and The Best of First Take. Congratulations to Fai Alias Rizal whose short film "Bob" was the Top Favourite for First Take 2007!
Some coverage and pictures are on www.hosaywood.com, A Nutshell Review, (thanks Jacen and Stefan!) and our facebook - please add moving images to your friends list :)
NEW: film producer Juan Foo wrote a piece about us on Sinema.sg. Have a look and learn a bit about our film history, and some significant work we have done! Thanks as always, Juan!
More updates and pictures to follow, but meanwhile, please send us your comments/greetings/feedback to movingimages@substation.org - tell us what you think of our programmes, and how we can serve you better!
Happy holidays, and keep your films coming our way!

So the above tells of what activities was going on at The Substation which we had been attending for the past few days.. :)
