Shawn Ethan surprised us with his excellent academic performance in school! :)

This afternoon we went to his school for the meet-the-parents-teachers session..

My mum (who's Shawn's before & after school caregiver) & I went for the session held by the school..

As his attendance was compulsory, Shawn Ethan came along with us as well..

Upon meeting Shawn's form teacher, Mr Hairi, we had a great time chatting & discussing about Shawn..

We were very surprised to discover that Shawn's academic performance was excellent in school..

Knowing him to be a very playful boy when it comes to doing his homework, we were pleasantly surprised that his form teacher, Mr Hairi, had very good reports & comments about him..

In fact, he did so well that Mr Hairi says he's among the top 3 students in his class! :)

His academic performance is considered above average for a Primary 1 student as he surpasses his classmates/schoolmates in the area of his studies..

He scored an average of :

93.3% for his English Language,

89.1% for his Chinese (advanced class),

100% for his Mathematics,

an A for Social Studies,

an A for Art,

an A for Civics & Moral Education,

an A for Health Education,

a B for Music (hmm.. weird, despite him taking Piano lessons),

a B for Physical Education.

His overall total score was 282.4 / 300

which is a 94.1%

His conduct rated: VERY GOOD

Comments by his teacher: Shawn is a bright and highly motivated pupil who has a pleasant & bubbly personality. He exudes enthusiasm in class discussions. He has progressed exceptionally well this term. With extra attention in checking his written work, he will be able to balance his potential and performance.

I took a photo of his report/report book via my iPhone.. :p

To cut the long story short, his form teacher, Mr Hairi, (who's a very good teacher), said that it's not surprising & highly likely that Shawn could get into a gifted program when he's in Primary 3, based on his intelligence, potential & performance! :)

So proud of you, Shawn Ethan! :)
